The Republic of San Marino is the leader of a project for a tourism development network in collaboration with the Emilia-Romagna and Marche Regions and the neighboring municipalities

Is called “Sustainable tourism development project” and it is the plan at the center of the activity of TTT, Territorial Table for Tourism (The Lovely Places), a qualified working group involving the State of San Marino, two Italian regions of Marche and Emilia-Romagna, and the municipalities that have joined.

A new phase of synergistic development of San Marino tourism and of the territories surrounding the Republic through a project that aims to create a network capable of coordinating a tourist offer capable of enhancing the common excellences of a vast, unique and opportunity-rich territory, with an innovative approach that allows sharing values and ideals in line with the indications of international organizations.

It was born during one of the most complicated periods of modern history from an idea of the Secretariat of State for Tourism of the Republic of San Marino, with the endorsement of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the support of the Italian Ministry for Tourism.

The Lovely Places – an innovative project

Within the website The Lovely Places, both for the methodological approach and for the choice to focus strongly on a common value of the entire area, which is what is identified in the environment and nature as a trait d'union , they develop routes and itineraries to be carried out in slow and green mode.

The intention is not to stop at the mere comparison activity but is to enter the action phase in the shortest possible time for a synergistic activity that accelerates the challenge of the territories through the internal cooperation, L'integration and the systematization of opportunities.

A project which, therefore, starts from the need to start a new way of living “territory heritage”: territory that becomes an incubator for innovation and valorisation of excellence, in the awareness that the models used up to now for tourist valorisation are considered useful, but no longer sufficient to fully respond to the changed/changing needs of the tourist community and economy of the territories.
